KELSEY LOWES

Kelsey Lowes is an abstract artist from Ontario, Canada.

She established her style of work through exploring texture and movement. Over time she gravitated towards solely working with a palette knife.

Kelseys work draws in the eye by subtle textures that are created with acrylics and various mediums like charcoal and oil pastel. She focuses on creating a level on contrast in her body of work that draws the viewer into each detail. 

When Kelseys work is seen up close and personal, each piece explodes with a chaotic mess of textures, layers and colour. However, as the viewer steps back, those small details fade into a cohesive piece, tying each mark together. Her work has been know for its balanced calmness, and also its ability to evoking different perspectives from its viewers.
